Ride report:

Beautiful day for a ride. Started out cold (40s) and warmed up to 60s, cloudless, with a sometimes stiff west wind. jbmadtown and I rode more or less together, when I could keep up with him.

The rest stops featured lots of home baked goodies from the Dodgeville 4H Club.

The biggest climbs on the 55 mile route were Hunter Hollow Road and especially Berg Road. Some spectacular long, winding descents but like nietsmas said, a lot of gravel in places, and occasional potholes too.

I can already tell tomorrow I'm gonna have sore legs and a sunburned neck.

EDIT: In addition to my neck, I have sunburn on my arms, legs, and nose. The legs are actually OK.
