Concorde info
Getting a Concorde at $8 is a real bargain!
I bought a cyclo-cross model "Columbo" (new) in 1990 and paid $1495 Cdn. for it.
The frame was Columbus Aelle and components were a mixture of Italian and Shimano, bar-end shifters, single chainring, cantilever brakes.
Great handling bike. I eventually converted it to a double chainring 7 speed roadbike and still use it today. A couple of years ago while on a cycling vacation in Italy I found it incredibly stable on fast, rough road downhills. I am thinking of converting it to a 9 speed, but wonder if it's worth the expense of all new components and re-setting the rear dropouts.
