BQ did a series of articles a while back on the English/British lite-weight bikes. Fun articles on how folks would ride their bikes for everyday use and for competition. Also had a review of three bikes with slightly different drivetrains that were popular in their time. Made a great read for me as I ride old Raleigh roadster and "club" bikes. Just can't remember the issue #......gotta be that age thing. PG.
