Hah, I really like Keirin bikes too. But to be completely honest, I have to admit, if I bought a Keirin frame, I would ride it on the streets to take the place of my daily driver. They are made of durable steel (obviously) which (for my purposes) is better served on the road. I won't need to be NJS certified on the velodrome, so I'd like to get something a little lighter and more aero (but less durable).
Eventually I will get a Keirin bike to ride on a daily basis, but for now I am going to wait on that because they are so expensive (the prices on them have inflated sky high ... worse than Paramounts) and won't be so great for the velodrome.
