Like many aluminium frames, they're light enough, strong, stiff, fast-feeling, less likely to crack if you bump into the door frame on your way out, and they're 3, 4 or 5 times cheaper than some carbon frames

For example, on this site, the aluminium Cervelo S1 frame-set is $1,200, and the Pinarello Prince is $5,500
