I was thinking that but the Miyata is 700c which is a lot easier to find tires for.
It also has the Miyata triple butted frame, which doesn't make much of a difference in weight. Only re-sell value would be higher as opposed to Tange 900 which has a reputation of being "mass-production quality".
Otherwise, components are pretty much on par... check out the specifications chart for the 310:
