i don't understand the obession with spotless shiny cassette and chain. after one ride it get all nasty anyway. as long as you wash out most of the grit and lube well, it should be fine
You buy a
$186 cassette and a
$57 chain and tell me how clean you keep it. I stop every few miles and break out the ultrasonic cleaner.
