I’m a former kama‘aina who’s planning a trip there this summer with my girlfriend and her mom. So far I’ve come up with this map (start/finish are reversed) that will let us take the bus to my childhood home and then ride back to Waikiki via Kalanianaole Hwy. Any locals reading this have any suggestions about that route? I didn’t start riding until after I’d moved away, so I’ve never seen Hawai‘i through a cyclist’s eyes.
