It might depend..living in a city people might just be more aggressive. Here in Pittsburgh if you leave more than a car's length between you and the car in front of you, someone will cut you off. They aren't trying to be an a**, it is just how people drive.
Same here in Cincinnati. If there is a spot, you have to take it. That's the way people drive around here.

Thursday, I had a guy in a Saab pull up on my right (right turn lane) and a garbage truck on my left. When the light turned I got the jump on him adn he whipped around behind me, behing the garbage truck, tailgated the truck then cut around him and sped off. As I passed the gas station about 1/4 mile down the road, there he was. What can you do?
