I've seem to notice alot of folks have nicknames for their fixed gear bikes.

Is this just a fixed gear thing? Are folks that bored at work? Do folks with alot of bikes forget the names of their rides?

And as a side note what the deal with messenger's nicknames? Pie Hole? Lucky? Frog? Dean Wormer (RIP) ? Ect...

I grew up in the punk scene and when I met folks named "Spider" or "Germ" or "Jeff Pezatti" I thought it was cool...yeah, when I was 15!

Now it's like people are trying to hard*. But maybe their mom named them Gertrude...
