new front wheel and questions

we are a 365lb team. we have a khs comp tandem with 26in. wheels. the rear hub is a shimano tandem hub and has performed flawlessly. the front is a no-name hub. i have rebuilt the hub once already, but it is not a very good quality hub. the rims are 40 hole rhyno lites. I would like to build a new front wheel. i was wondering if it is neccessary to use a tandem specific hub or if a standard shimano hub could be substituted. i was also wondering if 36 holes would be a problem. i would probably use a rhyno lite rim.

thanks,

steve
