you bought recessed nut brakes for a nutted brake frame. Most modern brakes are recessed. You can adapt your frame with an 8mm drill bit.
This assumes your new brakes have enough reach, too.
Yea, I guess I jumped the gun. Got a deal on the brakes and just snatched them up without thinking it through. Guess I'll save or sell them off
