I'm actually considering that for my Surly, since I ride it practically everywhere. It would be nice for places I can take the bike in to and leave unattended, potentially watched. And also for REALLY quick trips in somewhere. My Surly isn't light by any means, and is certainly very awkward with full fenders and a rear rack, it would be a beast to walk off with.
