Bikes: 2008 Marin Muirwoods. 41 lbs Costco Special

I replaced the tire with a Specialized Nimbus 26x1.5 from LBS.
The old tire was sliced through the rubber to the metal threads inside. I think I was lucky that the tire did not bust.
Thanks for all advise from BF. I now also have a tire boot for emergency.
