Maybe the real question ought to be, will I find anything for $400 that is a significant upgrade from what I have?
It's easy in the road bike world, with lots of frames coming through the LBS.
Track ends would be nice, but they don't make a huge difference when it comes down to it.

Anyone have a source for used, higher-end stuff?
