Di Luca is playing it at his best, I think. These early "climb" stages are punchy finishes and he has to get as much time as possible going into the last week.

He can make up some serious time in stg 13 & 14 for what he loses in the TT after getting those seconds today - similar stages to what he has already won so far - and they're right behind a long flat stage and before a rest day.

They needed to keep him off the stage win today, IMO. They're all losing serious time just on his stage win time bonuses.

Guessing Rogers or Leipheimer need to be 4+ minutes up on the rest after the TT to have shots.

If Di Luca does indeed fade in the last week, post TT.... Menchov FTW?
