Bikes: Miyata 210, Fuji Royale II, Bridgestone Kabuki, Miyata Ninety

I think the preservationist in me is going to win out on these, as the gold really plays nicely off the green. They are indeed gold on the sides, there's just a tiny band of bare aluminum where the brakes have worn through; sounds like they smartened up for '84. But since I'm thinking of relacing these, I might go with drum brakes, which would prevent any further wear. Though now I'm wondering whether I'll hate myself for swapping out the rear hub for internal gears. It is a gold cluster after all...

And yes, this is the one that just sold on eBay. I'm close enough to Indianapolis to do local pickup, so I managed to dodge the $100 shipping and come in lower than I expected. Needless to say, I'm really happy -- the bike is in really good shape.

Thanks for all the feedback. I'll get in touch with kudak or robatsu if I decide to part out the rims.

P.S. That Del Rey is fantastic. (I almost bought one that just sold on eBay a couple of hours ago, but figured I should take a breather.) I really think it looks better without the chromed fork of my Royale. Odd since I love chrome forks, but I think I'll just have to embrace the contrast.
