sorry, can't really compare against US prices, you are spoilt with cheap options. In Japan bikes sell for MRP, although you can usually get 10% off online. The problem is they often only stock smaller frames so it is really hard to find last years models in my size on sale because they all sell out. i tried ordering in a couple of differnt bikes but they were sold out at the manufacturer, and no one online had any more. Either wait till next years models come out or look at something different.

And with regard to the 'attitude'. There is nothing wrong with saying what I said. i had a question and someone came along and ignored it and told me to get drops without knowing why I am looking at flat bars.

I know the components are horrific on the scott. I guess they don't have that model Gios in other countries so it is hard to compare....
