Leipheimer has no descending skills compared to guys like Armstrong or DiLuca. He got pwned on that descent yesterday. That does not bode well for his chances in that 60km TT. In fact nobody's using TT bikes, they're all using regular road bikes with clip ons.
I've always gotten the impression that Leipheimer is actually a very competent descender. But he was on the wrong wheel yesterday. Basso absolutely sucks going downhill.
