Hi Machka, hi Ken,
after having visited your websites I am more and more convinced, that cycling gives us a plenty of possibilities, starting with some km "flat" up to more than 1000 km in less than 100 hours...
Machka, you seem to be a real long distance enthusiast, what about your back bone after that? My next Tour will be in summer from Heidelberg to Barcelona, which is about 1500 km (I think it will take 10 days). I will surely remind your PBP when I am suffering in the Massiv Central or in Andorra/Pyrenees.
Ken, 60 is a fine age to start something new (I hope I can do so in 2015, too). On Colle Agnello (which is a pass between France and Italy in the south-western Alps) I met an 70 years old Italian, who said, it would be his last ride ("ultima volta"), but I didn't believe him, because he turned around and returned some 10 minutes later (he had supported 3 of his friends and thus climbed a second time). These guys will never stop.
Greetings from Heidelberg,
Marmotte
