turning and looking without swerving is an acquired skill. It is worthwhile though. I did buy a mirror, but it doesn't work with my glasses because the frames are too flexible. So I've never used one. Generally, I find my ears in combination with looking over my shoulder to be sufficient for most of my riding. The problem is when there is oncoming traffic.
