Assembly.

After the frame returned from Bilenky's, I got to work with the assembly even though I was still missing three key parts. I couldn't decide on a stem, headset and freewheel and my money was running low. So I started it with this dummy freewheel just to hold the chain and set up the RD.

I finally decided on a stem, headset and freewheel and had the cash to get them. So I placed my orders with Velo-Orange, IRD and JensonUSA. The parts arrived later in the week and I continued.

I was running into little problems here and there like some shifting issue with the front derallieur and the cantilever brake setup. I actually snapped the pinch bolt on the front brake assembly. I was a little dismayed by this but called Velo-Orange and explained the situation to Chris and he sent me a whole new set. Very decent of him.

Here is the original set installed:

And here is the new set:

The design changed a little. The tow in adjustment is now located at the end of the brake mount post and is adjusted with a 5mm allen key. Much easier than the original.

Up next - Close to the finish.
