Incredible commute to work this morning. It's been chilly (40s) every morning this week, but today it was about 60 F when I left. The wind was still out of the north, however, so I had a tailwind most of the way. I rode the single-speed, which is always faster for me, and really booked it. Finished with one of my fastest commutes ever, despite my continuing red-light curse. I outwitted one of the red lights by making a right turn, which is legal in NC, and going a slightly different route. Riding the SS sure is fun, but it's harder to carry gear, so I end up riding it on warmer days when I won't have a lot of clothes (eg, vest, arm and leg warmers, etc.) to carry home in the afternoon.
