Out here on the open plains the south/southwest winds have been horrible lately. Wind gusts up to 20-25 mph easy. Riding with the wind I can easily cruise along at 20-22 mph. As soon as I turn into the same wind I struggle along at 11-14 mph.
My computer reports that I average anywhere from 13.5-15.5 mph. In the absence of these strong winds I think 15 mph for me is about average.
