Batavus, is a huge Dutch brand, still in production. Their web site is here

the criterium model was upper mid tier ( or lower top tier?) lineup. I'd say an entry level
race model.
Do a search here for Batavus there are more than a few threads.
We don't see too many of them here in the states, but we did see batavus mopeds.
You got an excellent deal. that bike looks show room perfect. The Shimano 600 components
are a precursor to Ultegra, just below Dura Ace, you can find date codes for them at
