Only drawback to the Arlington Memorial bridge is the two times you have to cross the GW Parkway on the Virginia side and the two times you have to cross traffice on the DC side. Not a major issue but can delay things to cross it safely.

Also I never found a good way to make it to Arlington Memorial bridge in the afternoon during tourist season when the Mall is packed. It's ok in the morning but I'd be wary in the afternoon.
