Bikes: '08 Surly Cross-Check SS, '84 Raleigh Alyeska, '00 Mongoose Crossway

$440 for just the frameset? The Madison complete is $629. For what it would cost to build this bike up you could have a Masi Speciale, or a Cross-Check or Steamroller. I don't get it.
