To be fair, all makers of tangible consumer products have the risk of defects creeping up on their products from time to time. It is up to the new or recent owner to observe their new products and check the company's official Websites from time to time to spot and correct these problems. I have 2 Dahons at present. They each had a major part failure around the time of purchase. I took the bikes back and the problems were dealt with. End of initial purchase problems. Any other problems and issues I had with these bikes are now due to normal aging and wear.
