Yeah, everyone has a different opinion.

Personally I'd stick with Shimano...at least for an IGH with more than 3 gears. Shimano products are ubiquitous, and even though their IGH sales are far less common than derailleur systems, you're still far more likely to find service and parts at any shop across the country.
