Doesn't mean I wouldn't feel a little strange riding, say, a $14k bike (ie. Giant with electronic DA) and not being a professional, but that is why I will limit my bikes to $5k or under which is still more than enough bike for me or anyone here. Even the pseudo-racer boys.
I'm with you, but my limit is $2,500 - everyone should be happy with a $2,500 bike. No need to ever spend more.

Although I can't spend $10k for a bike, I don't want to stop someone else who has a $10 k budget on a bike from buying it, and I don't think you need to disparage anyone who does. Sure they could give me the money, so I could buy that $2,500 bike, and they could still buy a $7,500 bike - but its not for me or you to tell them what to do with their money.
