if i had to stop and say hi to every person i saw on the trail, my heart rate would never get over 60! i'll say "hey" or "watch out for the jerk with the german shepherd not on the leash!" but actually stop? maybe we can chat if i see you in the parking lot...
you get this same crap in the motorcycle world. what it boils down to there is people riding motorcycles for the "brotherhood" and getting upset because people don't "respect" the fact that they're riding a motorcycle. i don't wave at everyone i see driving a car somewhere. but if i see someone on the side of the road, yeah i'll stop.
