A great read of a greater ride. I was thoroughly fascinated. Riding a double is well beyond my capabilities, and always will be....but it sure is fun to read of others riding one of the big ones.

While I agree that a 200+ mile race seems insane, and I wonder if I could ever do it, I did see some photo's of some of the participants and noticed that there were some + sized folks that competed. Now while they may have SAG'ed in, it does give me hope that I can complete something like that if I take my time and utilize the rest stops. Heck, one guy rode a tandem with his 10 year old daughter on the back, and when asked if she actually helped pedal he advised "No". So, while I assume he's in really good shape, it still something that is do-able, so I hope to try it in a year or two.
