Timo heres my opinion based on my 2,000+ wheel builds. I'm siding a bit with retro grouch on this, why change a formula you know that works?
Hubs: Doesnt make a difference
Spokes: DT or Sapim....DT Alpines will fit in most hubs, will the Sapim strongs? Whats the thickness of them?
Spoke count: more is better. Personaly I like 32 count vs 36 (almost obsolete) vs 28. The weight savings of 4 spokes per wheel in negligible and with 32 spokes there is always a spoke pulling in opposite direction of another.
Rims: deep dish V....stiff rims arent always better. If your rims are too stiff theres a likely chance of pulling the spoke nipples through the rims. Many times I had better luck building wheels with regular aluminum rims vs hard anodized for the big riders.
So, your asking if your proposed 'new' setup would be stronger.
Hubs are a wash, spokes are a wash, so it comes down to the rim.
