that sounds like a great class...but I'm not sure I can afford to enroll at stanford right now...29k a year I think. a friend of mine is planning on building a frame...he has some time on his hands for the next year. he just got a welding tank (he said that was the most expensive part). He is planning on silver brazing with 531 tubes and lugs. He starting building a jig...he is planning a fix gear bike. I don't think he has any delusions about this project, he knows that he won't be able to produce a frame of equal quality of the masters that are doing this on a regular basis, but who knows?
