My bell bets a lot more use on the MUP when the weather is nice, so I imagine its the same for drivers on the road. On the MUP it's all the runners who aren't paying attention, moving all over the place. Imagine the drivers feel the same way about a lot of the bikers on the road right now, and whether or not you are doing the right thing you don't get the benefit of the doubt because of them.
