I am buying a new bike for myself and my spouse. I have narrowed my search to the Trek line.

My LBS has the Trek 7.5Fx for $819 and the 7500 for $849. Is this a good price? I am located in Brainerd Minnesota. Can you bargain with the LBS guys like buying a new car? These are the first decent bikes I have every considered buying.
