pay no attention to my poor neglected beater mountain bike in the background that took a mud bath over the winter, broke, then got ignored

I found an old SR stem in my parts bin, along with some alloy bars that I'll never use because they're too skinny for me.

so this frame, headset, and seat post, neglected on the side of the road might soon be sporting some 700c alloy rims.

I was going to make it a single speed, but it has some braze ons , plus I remembered that a co worker wants me to build him a city bike he can run errands on that no one will want to steal. This might be his size so I might build it geared with some stem shifters that sit in my parts bin. I might also end up using 27" wheels if I can find a decent rear one.

More progress pics to come soon hopefully. The overall goal is to spend as little as possible. So far I've spent nothing but time.
