I think the Miche will do quite nicely. I'd love to hear more on the inherent discomfort of the seatpost mentioned above--why is it particularly uncomfortable? I've never heard of a seatpost being to blame for discomfort. It seems like there are somany other things involved that would play a greater part in the transmission of road vibration.
I'm also intrigued by the criticism of the bottom bracket. Any more opinions on that? I've seen Miche cranksets around town a few times, so I imagine there's got to be a lot of people out there with an opinion.
