I'd say that yeah, you need some matching brown bar-tape on the bike. Also, I think that if you can get a Brooks-like saddle on the cheap you can probably get a Brooks-like saddle-bag on the cheap too. People go nuts for that look, so throw that on there in a matching brown and it will be a winner.
