I just got back from a 4-day trip to Colorado. The temperatures were in the 70s and low 80s when I left NC, but were hitting the 90s when I got back. After 4 days of hiking in cool, dry weather in the Rockies, the heat and humidity of NC were quite a challenge. My ride home yesterday afternoon was one of my toughest in a while, despite 4 days of rest from cycling, which shows how tough the heat and humidity can be. I rode my SS this morning and felt much better with a fast commute time, but the ride home could be tough again as the high is supposed to reach the mid-90s.
