The tapes are great for ease and speed,but cost is a major trade-off. I have Vittoria glue in a can and I need to buy the little aluminum brushes, for about $1.00 per bike or mount. Tubes of glue are $3.00 to $4.00 per tube, and the cheaper Tufo is around $8 each, with the Tufo Extreme being even more.

Compared to pinch-flatting tubes unpredictably, I like the Vittoria can.

Continental has glue in a can, too, with its own brush.
