Today was the 1st day I used a bike as a commuter.. Total milage is ~ 7 since I went back to the bike store twice, once to pick up my assembled clip-on shoes, and again to get a headlight, taillight and padded shorts haha (learned real fast that it sucks riding w/o them).
I absolutely loved it. I was behind a motorcyclist on base and he got next to me and told me theres a group of bicyclists that get together mon-fri at 11am to ride. i wish I could get in on that, However my lunch break usually goes from 11-1... so that m eans Id have to change out of uniform, ride overe there, do the 12ish mile ride, then eat, then change back into my uniform to finish the work day... Probably wont happen while im day working,, when I go back to 12 hour watches I should be able to make a few of them though

Im extremely happy with riding.. I love it when you turn heads of people as your keeping up with their cars/motorcycles riding around base (20mph speed limit) without issue. I bought a speedometer that Im going to try to put together, but will most likely get help from the bike shop just to see how fast Im really going.
