That's come lovely looking stuff you got there. But, If you can't afford to replace it, then don't race it. If you can, then go ahead.

Anything dura ace or carbon is asking to be beaten up. My cross bike is worth about $200 and it's still faster than me - and I ain't slow (not terribly fast either).

The first thing I noticed when racing in Chicago is the amount of bling that cross racers have - they spend some serious moolah. Dugast tubulars on deep carbon rims in the 4Bs springs to mind.

Which Ritchey tires do you have? If they're the speedmax, I would recommend changing out the front for a Michelin Mud for racing. If they're excavadars I would change out the back to a semi slick or file tread except for muddy or very rough races.
