Yeah .. . go friction or 9 speed cassette.

That's why friction systems are true independence ..... I can change parts without worrying about the constant BS from parts not working together. Mix and match. On my road bike I use Suntour mtb friction thumbshifters, a Deore XT RD, 105 double Fd, Tektro TT brake levers and a 7 speed FW hub with a TA Zephyr crank !

The "modern" stuff makes me wanna puke.


But truly, I am sorry for it not working out for you john, because it should!
