Roll faster? maybe, maybe not, I always thought it was the rider that made the wheels turn faster. But in all seriousness, I have Phil's hubs on my tourer and those are very silky smooth rolling wheels, but you don't really notice it compared to other high end hubs unless you put the bike in a bike stand a spin it by hand, then you notice that the wheel will spin by itself way longer then any hub I currently have on my other bikes. Plus my Phil touring hubs (and bike) have over 200,000 miles on them, and I think their the best hub ever made...but I haven't tried every hub on the market so it's just an opinion based on what I have now on other bikes and in the past with bikes long gone.
