I'm sorry, and I'm all for negligent drivers being responsible for their actions, but you guys make it sound like the guy committed malicious murder. This was an accident. A stupid accident, but an accident nonetheless. I still think he should be punished and pay restitution for the families of the ones he killed, but you guys make it sound like he was wide awake and had stickers with X's through bicycles on his fender. I'm sure the guy feels like an ass, and yes, his sentence is a lot easier than the fate of the two riders, but it sounds like he and his family will suffer quite a bit himself.
