Today was the first time since before Memorial Day weekend that I rode to work. I'm finally feeling 100% after going ten rounds with some sort of intestinal bug. Anyway, the weather was beautiful. I could've rode to work Saturday, but I was anxious about flats- which is silly since I ride on Ultra Gatorskins with Mr. Tuffy tire liners, and the tires are pumped to the recommended pressure thanks to my new Park Tool PFP-3 pump.
http://www.greenfishsports.com <----- I placed an order on 6/1, and it was at my door on 6/5- that's with regular FedEx shipping.
The ride home tonight was fun- not much traffic or wind, and I "aerobarred" on the downhills. It took me 22 minutes to ride 4 miles- that's including a lap around St. Anthony's Church just for the heck of it.
Harpdog- here on Cape Cod we had an infestation of Gypsy Moths back in the '80's. I was just a kid, of course, but I remember listening to the crunching sound in the woods as the catepillars ate the leaves. My Grandfather took a blowtorch did a good job frying them off the tree trunks- the ones unlucky enough to be reachable, that is. I took a stick and obliterated the egg sacks.
