Surefire has a loyal following amongst many folks on CPF, largely I suspect due to the fact that they are made in the US and supply the military and police. While I'm sure they are a high quality product, for shear light output there are many other options. Personally I've been quite impressed with the quality, output, and price of SolarForce lights. They can be bought from either US vendors or directly from Hong Kong. One nice thing about them is that they take a P60 (SureFire style) drop-in, which means that you can easily change the LED to a more powerful one as technology changes.
