I've stayed at the Rafter J Bar campground and the Horse Thief Campground. Both are commercial campgrounds. The Rafter J Bar is a huge campground and is right on the Mickelson Trail. Unfortunately, the tent ghetto is about as close to Hwy 67 as you can get without camping on the centerline We nicknamed it Camp Willy Whoomp Whoomp because the cars going over the rumble strips made a whoomp whoomp noise all night long All of the 'quiet' camping spots that are further away from the road are reserved for the RV crowd

Horse Thief is more secluded but further from the trail (about a mile and a half away)
