It definitely takes motivation for me though it's easier in the spring and summer because the weather's nicer. In the spring I often commute to work after doing most of my training ride which helps me get more saddle time, this way I can add 48 mile rides in the otherwise 28 mile commute. The winter is tough to get up early for though, the sight of branches swaying in the wind and the knowledge it's really cold out makes it hard to get cheery about.
